His last 5 games, he is 38-65 with games of 25, 24, and 20 points. His defense has really improved and he is so good posting up down low, and passing from both the key area or when doubled down low. He is delivering big time.
Noticed this as well. He was very aggressive with the hedge at the top of the key yesterday, and recovered well back to his man in the post.he is recovering quicker on step out on ball screen, I am glad we are doing this now i talk about it for a long time. It makes the defense waking up and accounting very early in possession because ball screen is first thing for many offneses.
Great post VT4700. What is very impressive about those numbers is that they were achieved while only averaging 25 minutes a game in A10 conference games. Grant has been playing like an A10 all conference player recently, who has been dominate in games he brings his A game. I am wondering if the ankle injury was impacting him more than he let on earlier in the season. Seems he is a 100% now.His last 5 games, he is 38-65 with games of 25, 24, and 20 points. Exactly coach, Grant has been playing hard, love to see it. Grace certainly hasn’t mastered the quick recovery on the step out. Matt is just too slow and awkward, gets caught in no man’s land and usually fouls.he is recovering quicker on step out on ball screen, I am glad we are doing this now i talk about it for a long time. This is what some refer to as the Mamba Mentality..He and a few of the guys need to check out Kobe philosophy of the game
Good to hear, he seem like a really all around classy guy. When he collapsed on the floor a couple years ago was probably one of the scariest moments in a game I can remember, brought back memories of Hank Gathers. Great to see him healthy and having a year. Keep doing what you are doing, great all around game. He has had great patience and persistence attacking the basket and making great passes.Have mentioned this before - Grant takes time for the young fans every game.
Right...i guess one could say keep up the good work? Or not.moon knows he is a bad half away from a keyboard spat with me, as he mentioned in his presser

Let's keep it up guys. moon knows he is a bad half away from a keyboard spat with me, as he mentioned in his presser
Exactly how did this come about? Would like to know what CM said to indicate that he reads the boards. Funny.I really couldn't believe that part of his overall "keep supporting the team message". He openly admitted that he and the team pay attention to this board. And they are apparently so soft that they would be impacted by potential let down after a big game talk by the fans. It's natural for fans to talk about that. But it shouldn't impact the team and just because we might worry about that is that going to impact our cheering at the GMU game.
Mooney - worry about beating another team that you have traditionally struggled beating and don't worry about what we type on our computers.
Oh please. He just liked the atmosphere that our fans provided and wants to keep it up. The players respond to that and he thinks they deserve it!I really couldn't believe that part of his overall "keep supporting the team message". Yeah that was such a bizarre statement. When my VCU colleague stopped in my office to congratulate me yesterday, if we had discussed a potential let-down against GMU (we did not), what the heck does that matter? Is discussing a potential let down on a fan message board or with your fellow spider fan friends going to impact you showing up tomorrow night or impact how hard you cheer tomorrow night if you were already planning on showing up? I don't think anyone would be saying, "Oh man someone on the message board is worried about a let down against GMU after the big win against VCU, I think I'll sit this one out in case that happens."
If you are looking for a great public communicator in Mooney, you probably haven't listened to him the past 15 years. That is not his strength.I should have stated that I agreed with the overall message. But was baffled by the "I hope we don't hear any talk about a let down and I hope our fans don't type it into their computers" statement that went along with it. If the team doesn't read this message board then why would he know/care if fans type those thoughts?
I have not been following this conversation, but don't understand you comment about "the team doesn't read the message board" It is a very high probability they do read it, along with their family and friends.I should have stated that I agreed with the overall message. So does this mean Grant Golden might start on another A10 team?
Everything on here is Richmond Basketball CanonTotally agree - anyone who reads message boards other than as a source of entertainment and buys in totally to some other poster's perception without thinking it through for themselves has some serious issues.
