Nice piece, although I’m confused by his talk of being a forward coming out of high school but now being a 5. Somebody should have told him nobody uses position names anymore.

And guess what - he could come back for ANOTHER year if he wanted!!!!!

Question on that - do you think that would warrant an asterisk in the record books?

All of those records will have asterisks on them. But does anyone really care about the asterisk. Your still in the record book at the end of the day.

big fan. his lack of quick twitch athleticism might keep him out of the NBA ... and limits him from being a plus defender in college. but he's big, strong, and very highly skilled. he can have as long a career as he wants in Europe.

Agreed - don't think the NBA is a realistic option for him. Best chance is find a mid-level league in Europe where he can be one of the better players on the team and cash in for as long as he can or he wants to.

I don’t know about the different levels in Europe, but are the upper levels so much better that he couldn’t play with them?

I think yes. It took TJ a couple years to get to the highest level abroad, and he was probably more refined than Grant.

Grant's significantly bigger which opens more doors. I believe he'll play high level like TJ.
