Could happen. They're loose and undisciplined with the ball. 9 steals to go with those 32.Calling it now, 32 points scorches the Tiger War Eagles in a huge bounce back game.
We won, so I can't criticize too much. But he was a complete non-factor on the court for the first 36 minutes. It's not that he didn't score, but he didn't look to score, he made had several bad turnovers and was a non factor on defense as well.He played within himself. Did what the team needed him to do. He didn't have a bad game just bc he didn't score 20.
Don't need him to score 15 a night, but need him to take more than 5 total shots in a game as our best player. Again, it worked tonight, but we are at our best when Gilly is an assertive playmaker.I thought it was mostly due to Francis being on fire. He became the first option, and I think Wiscy also made a point to deny Gilyard. We have a lot of scorers, and they won’t all score 15 a night. Nice to see us win by 10 while our best player barely contributed.

Mooney needs to get Gilly a little rest during the game. He played all 40 minutes down there and didn't have his best outing. I find it interesting that Mooney feels he needs to get every other player rest during the game so that they can be at their best except for Gilyard.Gilyard started off the year scoring above 20 points in most games but has since come back down to earth in terms of scoring. I think Gilyard needs to look for his shot more than he is currently. He is great at getting everyone involved but he needs to be more selfish sometimes as he is an incredible shooter and can light it up from outside. I also think he needs to drive the ball more as he did in the first few games. When Gilly drives the ball good things happen almost every time. He either finds a wide-open player for a 3, someone cutting to the rim, or a layup for himself as he can blow by almost everyone. I have also noticed that when he starts a game off going 0-2 or 0-3 for deep he normally doesn't shoot the 3 anymore. for example, in the odu game, he shot 3 3-pointers in the first 10 minutes and all rimmed out and he didn't take another one the entire game. I think he should keep shooting the ball after a few early misses because if he starts knocking them down and gets hot nobody can stop him.
