Does he just transfer again and leave UR. I mean - we are 1-3, winless against D1, we play a Double OT game against Bucknell and lose a guard to injury and he still can't see the floor.7) Michigan practices weren’t as good as Trap thought
Why are you sticking around, inquiring minds want to know???Does he just transfer again and leave UR. I mean - we are 1-3, winless against D1, we play a Double OT game against Bucknell and lose a guard to injury and he still can't see the floor.
Why would a guy - who was a top 100 recruit, went to Michigan for 1 year, and then transferred to UR - stick around much longer? Unless the NIL package he is getting is so good (hard to believe) - then I can't imagine him sticking around past this year.
Mooney may have been a John Jay fan.Anyone venture guesses why this guy isn't playing.
1) Double secret disciplinary suspension?
2) Lack of ability?
3) Mooney keeps forgetting to put him in
4) Something even stranger going on behind the scenes?
5) Waiting for his NIL to cash
6) 80s Fan benched him
If he is not in the rotation based on a few months of practice and you start off looking good and winning, then all good, but when we are playing like this a few games in, if he is healthy, I think we have to give a guy who has a great shooter reputation like that some minutes.we deperately need shooting so I'm up for anything,
but either GW3 isn't healthy, or he's shown in the past 5 months that he's not one of our top 8. otherwise he'd be playing.
if a coaching staff sees a guy 5-6 days a week for 5+ months, I'll assume they know where he stands right now.If he is not in the rotation based on a few months of practice and you start off looking good and winning, then all good, but when we are playing like this a few games in, if he is healthy, I think we have to give a guy who has a great shooter reputation like that some minutes.
Not saying because of rankings. I am saying because we kept hearing in the off season he was a great shooter who was making a bunch of 3s. We are 25-96 (26%) from 3 as a team. Our offense looks terrible and we have 3 straight ugly losses. Tyne, Tanner, and White are giving us very little. We are in the meaningless OOC stage right now. I know coaches know their teams way better than we do, but I say give him some minutes and find out.if a coaching staff sees a guy 5-6 days a week for 5+ months, I'll assume they know where he stands right now.
I'm not playing him over other guys based on high school rankings.
So, I am no Moon fan, but I will defend him here. You can't just give a guy minutes because the team stinks so far. You earn minutes. If it was really close between him and someone else for the minutes and that person has performed worse in the games than he does in practice, then yes, maybe I'd do this too see if someone was a better "game guy" but if he is sitting because he hasn't learned the offense, doesn't play D or a hundred other reasons that it could be, I cant just play him because he is supposedly a good shooter and my other guys haven't shot well yet. And we have to assume that there are reasons he is buried right now. Coaches just aren't in the habit of burying guys for no reason and players have to earn their way back up the ladder, not just be gifted the minutes basically out of desperation in the moment. Not saying because of rankings. I hear you, and if there are certain reasons that justify 0 minutes, then fine. But, if the attitude is good, and the work ethic in practice is good, let's give him a chance. Another reason why I don't like the decision to redshirt our two freshmen. Let's see what they have as well. Guys get better during the season. Maybe all 3 of these guys in practice look like they aren't ready, but maybe some time now gets them more ready to help us later on this year. I rarely say this about guys not playing and I am always a best players play guy, but we rarely lose 3 straight games to the teams we did. This team and this rotation does not look good at all right now, and too many guys are giving us way too little. Something needs to change. So, I am no Moon fan, but I will defend him here. seriously right? he is soooo close to connecting all the dots. Will he get there by March, stay tuned to find out! 😨Anything else u could think of?
Absolutely. I feel everyone should be on the table. You literally have everything to lose if you don’t try something different. If he is not in the rotation based on a few months of practice and you start off looking good and winning, then all good, but when we are playing like this a few games in, if he is healthy, I think we have to give a guy who has a great shooter reputation like that some minutes.
