We're getting ready to "Rock" the Brick House and Morgan State's world. GO SPIDERS!

Gutsy play, a touchdown and a 2 point conversion. 15-0. Bob Black says a convincing start for Richmond. Jasmon and Bob said the Spiders want to make a point, given the talk by Morgan at the start of the game.

Bob pointed out that Rocco is on the field at the same time as Strauss. He said the staff has confidence that Strauss is closer to 100%. Otherwise they did not want to risk 2 QB's on the field at the same time and to risk any injury to Rocco.

Trying to watch and post. Win baby just win. So far we like look good.

It is Rocco in November. It is the team focused. It is twelve man rooting them on. IT IS UR BABY.

Another turnover that led to a TD. We need to be careful. They have 10 unanswered points. Their RB Herb Walker looks good.

Doing what we seem to do best, turn the ball over and let inferior teams back into the game.

Come on, get that one back.

Wow, the momentum has turned. 3rd and 8. Strauss gets sacked and a shanked punt.

Wow, now a sack and a crappy punt.

Punter got hit hard. Bad missed call.

If Morgan st scores here we are in big trouble.

How can out defense coaches not pick up on us getting burned on short passes bc we line our CBs 10 yards off the line.

These commentators picked it up in less than a half and are ripping them.

Touchdown Diggs. Now 29-10. At least their CB's are playing off as well.

Bob Black just pointed out that UR is 7-0 when leading at the half and 7-0, when we score more than 30 points in a game.

Spidervol , every year I go through this. Our corners play off for a reason. They are on an island out there in man to man and do not have help. It's part of the defense. One of our safeties is much better in run support(Barnette) while Grant is pretty good at both. The defense we play as a base defense is built on stopping the run. This means the Lbers priority is to stop the run first. Especially the two Lbers in the middle. Sometimes the outside guy or striker Lber will drop in shorter coverages but Howard really has 3 responsibilities. Blitz, flat, stop The run. It makes it simpler for that position. Holmes is a little better in pass coverage but weaker in stopping the run. In summary our base defense has 7 in the box area. That leaves 4 in coverage with a safety that likes to Creep up. That leaves your corners in man to man with no help over the top. All this means is the soft spot in the defense is short routes in front of the corners. Now we can change defenses and try to shut down the pass but then we are vulnerable to the run. Plus our front four don't get a great pass rush so having Howard out there as well as Wright on Blitzes helps us get pressure. Again, all this puts pressure on the corners. When they are completing passes in front of our corners the better question might be why are we not getting to the QB?

as an aside, hauk, the former coach at montana, is out at unlv, bad choice for him. yes, Putt, there is a method to our madness with our corners.

Morgan State seems to be playing a conservative game, with a lot of runs. Whoa, the Morgan State QB just overthrew a wide open player. That was luck.
