the current, march 14th issue of SI has an article, FOREIGN TRADE, outlining the recruitment of foreign players to the US college market. they intimate that there is some quid pro quo going on between at least one entity and several college programs, minnesota, louisvillle, (of course the pitinos are involved) nc state, seton hall and the list goes on including unc greensboro and valpo. it seems that directly after signing a player from a certain foreign program, the school then schedules a visit to spain and other countries all arranged and set up by the entity's travel division. all parties claim nothing is going on or that they "know nothing". maybe it is best if we steer clear of that highway and maybe even these european, south american trips and exhibition games. we have taken several trips and would be interesting to see who we utilized as our travel agent. would assume not these guys since we got zero. sonny vaccaro, who i put in the same bowl as pitino, says, " you don't need to go to europe to buy a tour package, unless there's something that comes with that package." vaccaro is involved with an american entity which arranges these tours so probably not happy that a competitor has an advantage.

Since Mooney has signed exactly zero European players in 11 years, maybe we should START doing this instead of steering away from it.

Almost illegal that the A10 rookie of the year is a 21 yo freshman from Canada.

let's get the one down south finished first then work on the north side

Let's just find a few players we like, punch their coaches in the face and take them.
