Can't believe you don't understand how this was an administration issue. If they had built the snow dome as the 3rd practice field we could have been prepared.
Over on the Dillweed Board they are giddy over our loss.

think we have to wait to see how this plays out. if he does take the job at delaware, at least we know he lied to all of us about finishing the season and then weighing what is right for him and his family because he had already agreed to take the job. if that is the case, will have no problem rooting against him no matter the reasons he departed. you don't lie to your fans, alums, supporters, no matter the situation, i will think a lot less of him. of course, am hoping the hens hire jim marshall and DR remains and that can still happen until we know for sure. you don't lie to me and then think i am going to support and like you going forward. why most coaches say no comment and then leave town, this was not handled well and don't care about the reasons, you don't lie and then think you have honor...........yes i am ticked. again, he may be back next year, meaning he did not lie to me and am hoping that is the man i think he is.
I'm with ya, Spinner. I think DR is either beloved or despised after this. Not a ton of middle ground, unfortunately.

I agree Spinner. Not sure what will happen or how much we'll learn but situations like this are almost always a 2 way street. There is a lot of good in Rocco's current situation if he chooses to go elsewhere I think that is his choice and he could have continued being one of the highest paid coaches in FCS with great assistants and a beautiful stadium at a great school. The "vision" comment never sat well with me. When 2 grown men don't speak to each other there is usually plenty of blame to go around.
This is a no-win situation for any coach. Had he just said "No comment," we all would have assumed that meant he was gone and we would want clarity immediately and probably question his dedication to the situation at hand. If he said, "I'm definitely coming back" but then he left, we'd call him a liar. He said he would consider things after the season, and we're still ready to call him a liar. There's really nothing he could have have done to satisfy everyone.
just like our school states, we don't discuss personnel matters, that was all he needed to say. no lie, rather him say nothing than to lie. if he got himself into this delaware situation, his creation, then don't lie about it or should have just stayed away from it. either tell the truth or don't get involved. look, have no prob with him or his agent looking out for him and testing the market, just go in with eyes wide open and know as soon as you are involved or make a commit, it will get out and you should be a man and tell the truth.

I have no problem with the vision comment. It might be a parting favor he did for us by saying that.
