Figured one of you experts would have this answer ... betting on SF!
I know that guys who played in 20-21 all ended up playing 5 seasons.
Players who were freshmen in 21-22 go back to only getting 4 seasons.
But if a guy medical redshirted in 20-21, does he get an extra season ... i.e. playing the next 5 years? Same question for Ivy kids I guess, who all sat out 20-21.

I ask because I saw a kid from LaSalle (Jahllil White) just entered the portal and he already played 4 full seasons after sitting out 20-21.

Don't understand how White could have any eligibility left given he played 28 or 29 games each of the past four seasons.

2020–21 essentially doesn't count for any purpose...if you played, it didn't count toward your four seasons of eligibility. If you didn't play, it obviously didn't count either.

Either way, if you've played four seasons subsequent to that, you should be out of eligibility.

If you sat out 20–21 and another season since then, you probably still have a year left, but you would have only played three. The only way you should get to play five full seasons is if one of them was 20–21.

Yes, I recall a Yale kid we were looking at last year that seemed to have used his eligibility? Thinking some of these kids that are not going to get any pro money to play are giving it a last ditch effort - with hopes the P5 decide on unlimited eligibility and force that on NCAA.

THIS

my guess at least bc I've seen it. Players putting it out there and hoping for hail mary, which really isn't a hail mary because people are always catching those balls against NCAA.

when White transfered to lasalle last year it was reported that he had 1 more year of eligibility only. but eligibility isn't even a term anymore. or trending that way. crazy.

if he could play that means he'd get 6 years of college, 5 years playing with no medical, and he got the Covid year essentially twice. like u guys I see no way eligible. but who the hell knows.
