(RALEIGH NEWS AND OBSERVER) DURHAM ? A jury found Crystal Mangum guilty of second-degree murder Friday in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Reginald Daye, in 2011.

Superior Court Judge Paul Ridgeway sentenced Mangum to a minimum of 14 years and two months to a maximum of 18 years in prison.

Deputies immediately led Mangum out of the courtroom in handcuffs following the announcement of her sentence.

if ever there was a case of trying and convicting before the facts were known, that was the one. including some on the duke faculty who should really know better but when race is involved, sanity goes out the window. hope that durham prosecutor is working a WM truck.
