On the radio this morning, Bob Black said for the first time, he felt a sense of dejection setting in with the players. Bob always paints a glass half full approach with our team and is very careful with his words, so for him to say this as his first response to the game last night, says a lot.

Yes, it has to be. We heard many reports, rumors, call them what you will that the locker room was toxic earlier in the season. Losing is hard on the soul, and when you don't believe in your "leader" it has to make you feel a bit helpless. I am really hoping these kids get to experience a change in leadership. I think we have some great, talented young men - and a change will really spark them.

For all the chest puffing on here and in the local news over the billboard backfiring for that group (via team rallying and Mooney rallying), it was all talk. Much like Mooney's last several years, talk, talk, talk, no change, except to get worse.

Can someone ask Dr. G if this is rock bottom?

That's one of my biggest beefs about keeping CM.... the players need to have some real hope, one they deserve it two it'll motivate them during the off season.

Dr. John Giannini may have hit it himself after LaSalle canned him last year. Would like to get his philosophical "take" on the state of our program - his way of explaining things is "priceless." Main one I remember was about sometimes you need to lose in order to win (paraphrase)......................
