This poor group just keeps losing guys. Waller, Muse, now Nelson seem to be out. Clyde and Winston Craig are the only good sized Dlineman with playing time left. Guys like Maurice Jackson and Chad Wiggins have played well when called upon but they are more undersized D-ends.

I believe Kolby Williams and Nick Velardo will be counted on much more now. Is Andre Booker available? Afraid more teams are going to start pounding it at us and we really need these guys to step up.

Our DL has been beaten up badly this season. Hopefully we can get some of them back before a playoff run

With all our injuries and despite what anyone else saw on the field, we held Delaware to 17 points, the same as did W&M, and less than Wake Forest, James Madison, Maine, Towson, and Albany. It was Delaware's second lowest offensive output for the year. We also recovered two fumbles and had two interceptions.

What are the odds of a Muse return in December?

And yes, the guys out there did an unbelievable job considering the injury problems there.

The only D lineman with any possibility of returning is Muse, right?

Both of their TD drives were also on short fields due to our KO coverage. Plus, our ST gave up the fake FG on the opening TD drive.

Broken jaw

Someone told me that it was announced on TV that Waller had a "dislocated jaw" and that he could be back in a couple of weeks. I think one of the announcers said this. According to what I have read on the Internet, the recovery period depends on the severity of the dislocation (or break) and healing can occur withing three weeks.

In addition to Muse, does anyone know the severity of the injury to Joe Lewis? He started out extremely strong but was injured (ankle) very early. Even with a sprain, it can take two or three weeks to recover to the point where one can participate. If more serious, I would guess that he is gone for the season.

I agree with Mo and would add the young man appeared to be in a great deal of pain while on the sidelines before they could take him off on the cart. Best Wishes Joe!

The Joe Nelson deal looked like a knee and it appeared bad to me. I'd be stunned if he played again.
Appreciate what Joe did for us this year.

Love Joe Nelson. From what I saw, it looked like he turned his ankle outward. I may be wrong, but I had a pretty good view.

Felt so bad for Nelson. One question though - why can't we get the golf cart out there to help guys off? I know the concept of carrying off your teammate, but would think it would be better to get him off faster & smoother. Seen it several times this year and just don't understand.

Yeah, that was pretty brutal to watch him have to struggle to get off the field with assistance. Really should have had some better way to get him to the locker room.

Will Ingle will now become part of rotation and true freshman, Maurice Jackson will become a regular participant at DE.

I agree !! Where was the cart to help that young man?? Midlothian high school has a cart for gosh sakes.
