Going to the games in the Arena was fun - we were under no illusions that we might win - and everyone was so close to the court it was great fun razzing the opponents and the opposing coach. And Davidson with Lefty Driesell as the coach was in the top 20 and we would play games where Davidson would hold the ball for most of the game because of no shot clock and the final score would be something like 18 to 14.....................
When I was something like 8 or 9 years old my dad took us to an UR/Davidson game at the Arena. The Spiders lost by something like 8 points.
The last time I was in that building was for an Emerson, Lake and Palmer concert my senior year in high school.
We couldn't even do a promotion correctly. Two locations were out of the free pizza deal already. I didn't have a chance to call all PJs in the area.
