its almost merciful for UR fans that the Spiders home season has ended...could it have been anymore frustrating?

tonight it ended in a very familiar way...no FGs in the final 2:22 while losing the lead and the game...

the season started with the Longwood shocker and progressed with many more shocks along the way...

I'm not sure we are much better now than we were in November...some things certainly haven't changed...

but it's on to Wednesday in Brooklyn...and some of the saddest days of the basketball season for Richmond fans who remember the historic days...

Yes, it's one thing for the folks who say it is a philosophy to not go for offensive rebounds and prevent fast breaks. OK. But the defensive end has never been emphasized either.

This has been evident for years.

Don't expect any change next year in the coaching and philosophy. I sure hope I'm proven wrong on this, but it will take a change in leadership for any chances of something different. If Mooney stays, the system & philosophy stays. The system & philosophy are rock solid embedded in stone similar to Mount Rushmore.

That's going to be me next year from my living room watching Mike Jones lead this team to exciting win after exciting win. Or Nathan Davis. I can only dream. tick tock.

Two of us looked for Queally several times. Unless he was in one of the terraces, he wasn't at the game.

I thought the key play was at 0:50 in the above video. Grant got the blocked shot but Nathan's man jogged right past him into the lane for the follow. that was a killer.

Yep, that Cayo play. Not to single him out because every player on our squad is guilty of that, but how do you not find your man in such a crucial situation. How are you not keyed in a tied game with under a minute left.

This happens all of the time. This is why we are the worst defensive team in the league and why we are ranked 349th in offensive rebounding.

Team with deep rotations allow coaches to pull players that do this. There is no penalty for the player, they just get to keep playing because no one is pushing them for time. Our big men especially have literally no one pushing them for time.
