Colgate

Anyone going? I have been to Colgate once, in May, 1971, to see a friend graduate. Three of us went, we were 16 and hung out at a bar called the "Old Stone Jug" in downtown Hamilton. The drinking age in NYS was 18 at the time and we all had fake ID. I think the bar is still there.

Nice college town, beautiful campus, sort of like UR but the architectural scheme is not consistent, unlike ours.

Frankly this is a bigger game than I hoped it would be in the preseason. We need play substantially better and prove we can win. With the resurgence of Howard, then conference play we need to develop a winning mentality asap.

We are not losing this game. My prediction is we will be much more efficient in the red zone and will tackle much better.

I'm going...my brother is a colgate alumnus...I hosted last yr, his turn this yr! He bought the seats so I suspect I will be surrounded by raiders.

My take:

We won
I am relieved
It is going to be a rough road each week
No rest for the weary

That is all!

Gut check win today. Will take top 25 road W any way we can get it. Not pretty, but D did improve some, even though poor tackling at times. O still trying to find an identity. Playing calling seemed haphazard with O line not clicking. They can only continue to improve and did open up few holes in 4th. But I worry when they call running plays for Kyle; he's just another ACL tear waiting to happen. One thing for him to scramble but no reason to risk him getting knocked out.

Completely agree...unless qb sneak, which doesn't seem to be in our playbook, why risk it!
