Any decent coach is going to try to get his team to focus only on the next opponent, so no surprise there. Love the animated talk about the panic button though - made me laugh.

I don't really like or dislike Cal. I don't think he's the greatest game coach. He knows recruiting is the name of the game - and he is in a great place to have success doing that. It's an interesting model he has really been the pilot program for: One and done , new team every year. That is why our game on Sunday is a total crapshoot: Some years that team just fits and gels from day one and is a wrecking crew, other seasons it is a struggle to find chemistry and keep everyone happy. So I think we could see either A) Cal is right, and his young team is a mess now or B) THey are world beaters playing like 5 in tune NBA draft picks from the start. I do feel like the loss of a game hurts them more than us.

What I really dont like about the loss of a game is Kentucky now has 3 days to prepare for us while we only have 1 for them. This just gives them more time to understand our complicated offense.

I don't have a problem with him, and I usually like what he has to say. I like how he tells his one and dones if you can be a 1st round pick and make millions, get the heck out of here and go do it. And, he seems good with the media, giving them lots of time with detailed answers.

yeah, that's where I am with him too. he's not the right kind of guy at UR, but he is at Kentucky or Memphis.

I like and admire Kentucky coach Cal. I don't like and don't admire the versions of Coach Cal that scorched the earth at UMass and Memphis to get there.

Just watched the UK vs Morehead St game. The Wildcats looked rather sharp to me, so Cal may only have one finger lightly resting on the panic button now. The announcers also said that it didn’t look like a first game to them. A solid and cohesive game.....
