Can we all just agree to completely cut special teams plays from the game?
This is great. But I think the bigger matchup will be our O versus your D.
I would agree. It sort of boils down to whether Schor is as good as Lauletta or not. He very well may be. I do believe that our front 4 is going to be able to contain the running game as well as anybody in the league has been able to. That isn't saying much but i'm going into it with pretty high expectations on our front 4.
Nice avi. I can respect a 1st class troll and, for that reason, you have my respect.

I don't know if Schor can throw the longball as well as Lauletta, and I'd certainly argue he has a weaker arm, but our scheme only requires him to spread out the ball. I know i'm a homer but JESUS we're talented all over the field this year. We could lose our two starting RBs and still be fine, our 3rd and 4th strings are amazing. We have what feels like 15 talented receivers that all know how to get open and make a play for YAC. Even our backup TE (who used to be the 3rd string QB) is amazing.
I think this game will hinge on momentum and schemes. Who feels the more pressure to win, though? UR at home or JMU away? I'd say there's pressure on the SPATTERS to not have a defeat in front of the 17 home fans like 2 years ago. If we lose, it's an away game at the #5 team in the country.
Lauletta's arm isn't big either. It's just the system that allows him to take some big shots.
Regarding 'pressure' there's a conference championship and a very high seed in the playoffs on the line. I'd say there's pretty equal pressure on both.
Well I certainly agree there's a desire to win for those reasons, but I don't know if the fear of losing is in our head as much as yours. Also, this rivalry is so weird when it comes to the away team taking most games. My head says this could be one of the random years that it normalizes. My heart says we have too much talent for you guys.
What's your RB situation? I was saddened when I heard about Gordon going out for the season - didn't his replacement go out as well?
Thanks for the information and opinion on your qb and others, but I'm more interested in your punter and kickoff man.
They're each going to be on the field at least 9 or 10 times.
"Saddened" huh? Thompson is fine back there. If he gets injured, it starts to look murky.
I don't think there's any fear of losing in anyone's mind. I think our team respects JMU and it's personnel but expects to win the game. You guys have a lot of talent. Our roster is loaded with talent too. It's amazing what a roster starts to look like when you get 5-6 years removed from MIke London and Latrell Scott. Because of a couple injuries, we are probably thinner than we'd like to be at secondary. We are loaded everywhere else.
I like our lines against theirs on both sides of the ball. That's where we won the game last year. Both teams have talented skill players. This game will be won in the trenches. Also, a real advantage for Richmond is the bye week. Rocco's teams are great late in the year and the extra week will only help. I agree with Mo, there is pressure on both teams. The Spiders have won big games in recent years, and jmu has not. Advantage Richmond. It should be a great game, but I would give the advantage to UR.
All this talk from DirtyPukes sounds very familiar to last year and we all know how that turned out.
I work with some former Spider Players, I also had a lot of great back and forths with Stephen Barnette on Twitter (dude is hilarious), and was really sad when he ended his career in injury. As much as I hate SPATTERS I know the players are still young men with their lives ahead of them and big football injuries can often be brutal. You definitely hate hearing about anyone's career ending in injury.
You're joking, right? Last year it was all "we have Vad, we don't need anything else" and we didn't talk about Defense because our D was terrible. Not saying you guys don't have talent but you've admitted you're thin at areas due to injury.
Well, i can respect that too. "Saddened" just isn't the type of verb you typically hear from such mighty troll.
That said, Collins and Goodall will both be back next year. David Jones is probably done for his college career but should get a real good shot. Other than that, we should be pretty much all hands on deck in 10 days. Our being decimated by injuries has been a bit overblown in the media, IMO.
I'm still not talking about it!Looking at the CAA Statistics, the defense may be better but it still isn't very good.
D line is better than last few years. The corners without Jones helping them scare the heck out of me.I'm still not talking about it!
I will say statistically we look a lot worse than we really are. This year's D seems to be able to get people off the field on 3rd down, which is huge.
So your defense has only forced 6 punts all season, sounds about right.Hahaha no way we've got like 6 punt returns on the year.
Let me help you with that. You're thinking with a JMU educated brain. Not doing your homework before you troll someone else's board.I don't know why I thought Collins was a senior.

I merely correctly predicted your arrival. How about this, if it's that easy, I invite you to leave.I was invited here by you, sir!

Look, let's keep this discussion to football and not get sidetracked. I have nothing against JMU as a school. Neither does my wife. In fact, our maid, nanny, and yardman all graduated from JMU, the latter two with honors. We will be looking for a cook in January and the JMU placement service will most likely be where we begin our search.
No boots here. Alligator loafers.Man usually you guys wait until AFTER we beat you to bring out the gentry defense. You must be shaking in your boots!
Can I see that invitation? It's is odd that your blog name accurately reflects the content of your post and what we think of your team in general. But still can I see that invitation, I'm not sure it's not a fake, which would be typical.I was invited here by you, sir!

How about our third string RB? We will be getting back a couple of DLs and LBs for this one and maybe a starting OL. Depth is our friend also this year.Lauletta's arm isn't big either. It's just the system that allows him to take some big shots.

DirtyDukes, must be how his favorite team plays
