I guess since we lost to those teams we would have finished 10th in the Big South

It is big for us to stay out of the Wednesday games. Just like our main goal for our basketball program is a Top 4 A-10 finish so we can get the double bye, staying out of the Wednesday games will be a big win for the program.

Any word if they are setting up some type of viewing party for the team to watch this tonight. It would be nice of them to do that for them since obviously we won't be have an NCAA watch party this year. We have to give our players some of these experiences, they've competed very hard all year. They deserve this.
 
Are all 3 games on television?

Recall the kid Marrow on Hampton is an elite scorer and Longwood has 3 'complete studs' on their team, which includes the guy that got a Triple Double against us where turnovers was one of the components of the achievement.

Seems that keeping the battle of the boards under better control, which we lost 29-44 in that game ... and having a better 3rd quarter (lost 4-21 last time out) will be critical.

Additionally, will need to do better than 4-12 from the FT line.

I have to say I like our odds tonight. You could blindfold our players and they will shoot better than that from the line. We should catch SLU supremely overconfident. Well played by Schaeffer. He is playing chess while the rest of us are playing checkers.
 
Last year, we swept VCU and they went 7-21, 4-12. This year, they destroyed us twice and won the league, went 21-8, 13-3. Meanwhile, we just keep slogging along. It's amazing that Schnaeferre is still employed.
 
People! We are falling into Hardt's trap.

SEE, I fired SCHOAFER, next year we will fully complete our evaluation of Maoney, if he doesn't lose more players to injury and transfer. I do agree that Schaef is playing Chess.

I thought you were talking about the men's team but pretty close comparison. I guess VCU isn't committed to the 10 year rebuilding time frame that we are.
 
St Joe to -2 now. Hampton/Longwood line is steady at 9.5. Bettors must be struggling with the Marrow matchup against the 3 complete studs from Longwood.
 
Hawks up 3 at the break. They seem to be showing the urgency requisite to stay out of #WednesdayInBrooklyn.

March Madness is here folks. I still hope the administration set up something for our kids to see this game as it has a huge impact on our seeding.

You know, I think Shaeffer needs another year. Team showed a lot of improvement down the stretch. Kids fought hard, never gave up. Shaeffer is a great representative and face of the program. The girls seem to really like him as well.
