Best moments of 2022-2023?

1. Tuesday, 9:30 a,.m. Buffalo Wild Wings at the Atlantic Mall reception. I'm raising a BW3 banner at home at the start of next season to commemorate this historic event.
2. The rally-killing timeouts.
3. The end of regulation play vs Syracuse - out of a timeout. Holding for last shot, instead pass directly to other team, leading to a (barely) late game-losing dunk.
4. The end of regulation play vs. GooMoos - holding for last shot, instead can't dribble or pass, leading to a late game-losing layup.
5. All the good plays, but Bud Light Gilly, the 2 monster dunks are for sure the 3 best moments.

Since the thread is shifting to include less favorite moments ...

1) Waiting for an Uber for 20 minutes after the Toledo debacle outside in 25 degree weather and 30 mph wind.
2) Effectively falling apart on this forum after seeing the great comeback live against CoC and then the nauseating OT end
3) Everything about the Clemson game in Greenville - the 6 hour drive was awesome each way however
4) The gulp in my throat as I left the bill and mary game

... there are others but will hold for now

Gilly scored 13.2 pts/game in 21-22 (admitted 17.4 in our 5 game run). Reasonably confident Wilson and Dji can match 13.2/game.

Would be more worried about lacking an experienced coach on the floor that totally understands and optimizes Mooney's system.

A+

Burton
Grace
Gustavson

Quinn
Bigelow
Roche

Trevor Smith

This is probably better than any reasonable best case scenario we would have come up with a few months ago. Everything went our way, even with transfers out. We had so much good news that the board barely got excited when we landed top 150 recruit Trevor Smith. Quinn is a huge pickup -- could be just as good or better than Golden. Roche is a 40% 3 point shooter and 91% FT shooter. Bigelow is another legit A10 starter who can shoot and rebound. And then we get starters Burton and Gustavson back, along with key reserve front-court player Grace.

Tyler, Quinn, Roche, Bigelow, Nelson, Dji, and Crabtree. We lost two 13 point a game scorers in Grant and Jacob, and 15 combined points from Nate and Nick. So, we are talking 41 points. That is easily doable without Grace and Goose needing to average double figures. Quinn should be able to match Grant's 13 a game. Tyler should gain about 4 points a game, which would help offset our PG averaging less than Jacob's 13. So, 9 a game from the PG spot and we only need 15 combined from Roche, Bigelow, and Crabtree to replace the 15 from Nick and Nate. Goose and Grace will still have their double digit games, but we don't need them to average that to win.

Compared to the absolute gutting of some of our fellow A10 teams this off-season, I feel like Mooney and Co. have done an excellent job. Not sure how much better we could have hoped for, really.

You are underestimating the value of Big:
1. Defensive prowess is awesome
2. Excellent rebounder
3. Make those around him better

2022-2023 best moments!

2022-2023 best moments!
Sorry, this post does not compute to me. If being positive pre season is a sin in what ended as a 15-18 season, it is called being a fan. We believed. We were disappointed yet again, but if you are a Pal Of Mooney (POM) guess it doesn't matter.

Comment seems more an indictment of the coaching rather than the players

Every trip to the fridge for another cold one to get me through the shit show that's Spider basketball. No lines, reasonable price, no malfunctions at Chez Whampas.

Thanks for reminding me of a few good things that happened this year. Few and far between.
