AJ Lopez - Transfer Commit

I think basically exclusively the 5. I can't remember where I read it. I think rtd when vcu's beat writer wrote article. Said Daughtry viewed himself as stretch 4 but played center at Indiana State. Tho I'm sure their O looked different than ours.

I expect at forward for us but could slide over when/if needed.
they had a 6'10" 250 guy who started all 29 games he played in, but only played 18 mpg.
they had a 2nd 6'10" 250 guy who played in 16 games at 12 mpg.
there's definitely minutes missing at the 5 where I guess Daughtry played. he averaged 19.5 mpg in 32 games, with only 3 starts.

Daughtry essentially only played when those two were on the bench though.

Needed a good shooter, seems like we got one.
Starting to warm up on this guy more.

I think a pretty good upgrade on whoever we have on the roster to play on the wing (unless McGlothin is game ready).

Yes, the shooting stats are impressive. 48/40/88 Shooting splits (FG/3PT/FT), very very close to the exclusive 50/40/90 club. So whatever the form, he is making shots. Looking at the Fordham highlights I am seeing some good ability to attack off the dribble. Only 2 rebounds a game. Daughtry only 4 reb/gm - so little worried there.

Bob had him on the radio show last night, good interview, very confident kid. He said Maine's offensive and defensive systems were similar to ours so he thought it wouldn't be a huge adjustment for him. Said when he walked into the RC last season, he was blown away and thought how great it would be to play here regularly.
