I guess. But that wasn't the question nor the answer. If you want to talk most recently well we got smoked there last year. Facts are we're 6-18 overall and 2-9 at VCU. I think we can all agree we should do a lot better. If we want to put our head in the sand well that's what some will do. I'd much prefer we acknowledge there's a problem and take it head on because your chance of success is better.

Could be a defining game for us, let's get it done Spiders.

I hear you, and agree 2-9 and 6-18 is really bad, but as a coach why should I call it a problem when the guys playing tonight have had success against VCU, both home and away? We just swept them 2 years ago, and Jacob, Nate, Nick, and Grant are all 1-1 against them at VCU. So, what does 2-9 and 6-18 have to do with them or tonight's game? They proved they can win there, and have proved they can handle the atmosphere there. If they win both this year, will you then start an 8-18 thread next year?

It was about our 1.3 millionaire dollar man taking some ownership. Two years ago both teams were bad and VCU had it's only team that didn't make ncaa in like 8 or 9 years. Glad to win em but we don't win big ones. This is a big one. There's a lot to prove. Teams carry baggage of past failures, they do that's sports, the sweep 2 years ago while nice did not change the narrative because it meant little. The baggage is still there I don't know how anyone could say otherwise given our history with them. again owning it is the first step.

This is about Mooney first & foremost. I'm all about the guys on the team and quite confident in them but coaching matters too. You sound quite confident too like most of us. The guys expect to win right? Great combo let's go get it. No excuses.

If we sweep them in all games this year (2 or 3) and go to NCAA I promise not to make 8-18 thread next season.
