I went to the game today, it was unreal and massively entertaining. My guess is 1500 Spiders there, fabulous turnout, massive enthusiasm throughout. And half that number were probably 25 and under, mlax alums and current students. Players and alum families all over the place. Not the red sweater hoops crowd at all.

The penalty after our goal at 10-8 was total BS in my opinion. Had zero to do with game and seemed mostly incidental. Let the players decide it. Especially in a sport where there are so few flags to call that was poor and really stood out as a key moment.

UR goalie was our mvp, he was amazing. 14 saves. By contrast Cornell goalie made 5 saves - UR just did not get enough shots and have the ball on offense enough. Another 5 shots and UR prob wins by 2.

From what I heard around me from player/alum families, the unforced turnovers were not common and obvs were a huge issue for UR. Face offs seemed rough to me as mentioned above.

Defense played amazing. Contained their star tho Goldstein played huge for Cornell to pick up slack.

Fabulous game, was great to watch a well coached team with passionate fans supporting them.

So in the 2nd game Syracuse wins 19-18 in a wild one where they took 50+ shots and Princeton took 40+ shots. Richmond's defense and organization was in stark contrast (in a positive way) to what was happening out there in that game. Syracuse hit like 4 pipes on shots in the 4th quarter. Bizarre play at the end of the game where Cuse had ball in space behind the Princeton goal and Princeton basically stopped playing with about 8 seconds left and ref blew whistle, they reviewed and gave Princeton the ball with 6.5 seconds left. Why? I have no idea. The game was effectively over, then it wasn't after that call. Lax rules are weird.

The game was there for them but ultimately they weren't ready to take it. Unfortunate. This team legitimately could have won the title this year. That being said, we're only losing a couple crucial players- Vigue, Max, Dunham. I expect the offense to take a big jump next year. Fantastic back half of the seasons from Piccart, Creo, and Sheridan. They'll be top 7 in the preseason polls and will make the final four next year.

BS...we're major, not mid-major.

Richmond is no joke and hasn't been for most of the last decade. They are the most "mid-major" programs in lacrosse get.Stoked to see how this program grows over the next couple years.”

This guy probably hasn’t even picked up a lax stick nor played the game.Condescending wise guy who is a no name.Probably works out of his mother’s basement.

What even makes a mid-major lacrosse program? Are they using basketball to determine it?
Year after year we’ve been a solid program and solid team that not everyone wants to play.
Mid-major lacrosse is a ridiculous designation when it comes to Richmond.

Now that I’ve had a day to digest this tough loss, I just want to reiterate how proud I am of this program. I never really started watching lacrosse before UR, but I’ve learned that it is an exciting, action packed game that often comes down to the wire: especially against top teams.

These past 12 years, we’ve had our share of heartbreak and our share of celebrations. In 12 years to have won 6 conference titles, 5 regular season championships, and a QF NCAA appearance is nothing short of remarkable.

The next 12 years of our program will also have close losses, great wins, and program defining moments. One thing is clear though and that is we absolutely belong out there. I don’t mean belong in the sense we won’t get embarrassed. I mean that there is a belief and realistic chance that we win these games. The narrative of Richmond is switching from giant killer program to national household name in lacrosse. If there is anything I can say for certain is that this team will not only be back at this stage but continue to exceed expectations.

Coach, Zach, and Max handled the questions very well. As usual Chemotti complimented the opponent, said positive things about our players, and gave good straightforward answers on questions asked. Great representatives of the University of Richmond.

Did not hear the opposing coach once refer to us as Richmond and just that team.
