2025 MLAX Schedule

Longer this game stays close the more pressure will be on Cornell. Our team is at its best when they play loose. Going into this game with no expectation of winning will be huge motivator. Spiders come out strong, hang on, and pull this one out in a close one.

Withstanding the onslaught. Getting beat in almost every aspect except the scoreboard and goalie work. Super lucky on that third goal.

Will we even up overall play or will Cornell start to convert on their chances?

Some errors we’d love to have back, but can’t complain about being up at the half. Vigue doing an awesome job.

Olsson’s momentum carried him into a Cornell player after the goal and the guy flopped to sell it. Conduct penalty gave possession to Cornell, but goal stands.

Ridiculous call after our last goal. Can’t believe they gave Cornell a free possession after that.

Vigue and D have been great but Cornell is hitting a lot of pipes. We’re gonna need to have some good possessions here.

Cornell turning things up and we’re fading. Bad defensive lapse allows the tying goal and then failure to recognize that our shot clock didn’t reset. Can’t believe nobody picked up on that.

Unforced errors were the cause of our defeat. A few guys were not able to handle the big moment, unfortunately. Still hard to swallow the telegraphed passes or the passes out of bounds. Unfortunate also because we got some amazing play from some of our other guys and Vigue stood on his head. Hope we are able to replace him without a huge drop off next year but that’s asking a lot.

Unforced errors are always tough. Guys left everything out on the field and came up short against the best team in the country. Tough to lose this way, but for me doesn’t sting as bad knowing that we fought every second. Can’t overstate how proud I am of this team. Richmond lacrosse has arrived and we are here to stay. Biggest question going into next season is how our new goalie will be and if we can finally make the next step in winning face-offs against top teams. A lot of momentum for our lacrosse team.

Watch out for the vultures in the transfer portal, especially ND and Duke.
Normally I would agree, but my gut tells me they stay. Richmond is a program on the rise, they all play pivotal roles here, and I can see them wanting to come back and further cement the legacy. Plus Pilling, Smith, O’Neil, and Sheridan will be seniors next year. Tougher to leave with 1 year left and not as a grad transfer. More likely I see us getting 1-2 impact transfers for next year.

With Chemotti as coach, I never really worry about who we are losing. The program just continues to get better every year. Look at the core of this team, a bunch of underclassmen. Now we have even more cache to recruit on, both in general and in the portal. We've had great goalies before and will again. Kudos to Vigue on a remarkable season, but I have faith that we'll get plenty from whoever is in net next year.

We will win a title within the next five years.
