Tough weather conditions but Spiders roll! Meanwhile Virginia, our next opponent, is leading Colgate 18 to 9. That's good because we don't want Virginia to be fired up from a loss or close game.
Some pregame reading from UVA message board about our game tomorrow at Klockner against the Hoos. Weather is one topic with possible wintry mix/freezing rain.....Hoos expect to excel at X and that would keep a prior trend going in our games against them.

BIG WIN over #7 Hoos at their house 13-10
Let’s go!! This is Spider Lacrosse. Took it to UVA from the getgo and didn’t let up when UVA kept creeping back in. Played well in every facet of the game. Ever since the first half against Maryland, this Richmond team has played at a different level, and one that we expect. It’s been a few years since we’ve had a big win like this. Let’s keep it going!
Other than the first half of the MD game, we look like a really good team. Our defense is playing really solid
coverage.
If you want to be in a position for an at-large bid, need wins like these.
UVA misses Cormier and Shellenberger ,big time
Their 10 man ride was spineless today.We cleared 24 of 26.
They ain’t the same team as in 2024,that’s for sure.
Glad we knocked them off early in the season when they ranked high.
Vigue had 14 saves.Thats big.
Littlejohn was our big gun today.
DiCenzo won 48% of faceoffs.That was big too.

Vigue had some fantastic saves. Our strategy of holding the ball until late in the shot clock took Hoos out of their flow. And who could not do anything but love our goals into their empty net when their goalie was way out of position during their inept rides. My two favorite lacrosse plays are our goalie scoring and us scoring into an empty net: got to really enjoy the latter one today!
Any word on our senior face off specialist, and starter last year, Chenoy? Hasn’t played at all these first 3 games.
