2025 MLAX Schedule

I hope all these games aren’t away next year since we played UVA, UMD, Duke, Georgetown at home last year. Another tough schedule for our guys, but to be the best you got to play and beat the best.

And over in UR basketball land ……..
Such a stark contrast
One plays on a national level and one relishes in mediocrity and less and calls it a success.

Its a great schedule, but at some point - as I have said before with the Lacrosse program - you got to win these games. I applaud them for scheduling them - that is step 1. Plus - in comparison with basketball, scheduling might be a little easier in Lacrosse just because of regional aspect and limited amount of teams that exist compared to the 300+ basketball teams. Nonetheless - these are good games, but lets not forget - last year - we lost all the "good" OOC games played - losing to UVA, Maryland, Duke and G-Town. Combine that with this program has yet to win an NCAA game and advance. To take the next step and get this program on the track where it is national program with a chance at making the final four of lacrosse - they need to first win some of these big OOC games and win an NCAA game, then I think the Lacrosse program gets looked at as a contender with the big boys, instead of right now a good program at a lower level.

Well, we somehow got Duke at home two years in a row to blunt that balance issue.

Tough A10 stretch to end the season. A10 regular season may well be decided on last game with St. Joes as it was last year. Strong schedule again.

I always look forward to the start of lacrosse season. Another year with big opportunities for the spider's with several big name teams on the schedule. It's been awhile since the Spiders had an upset of one of the top name programs. After a disappointing season last year, would love to see how we respond this year. The A10 is a young league for MLax that continues to get stronger and so far, SJU has made their claim as the king of the hill. Goals this season are simple: win A10 regular season, win A10 tournament, win at least 1 game in NCAAs (something the Spiders have yet to do). We start off the year with a win at Maryland. We have had 2, double OT losses to them over the years. Beating them would be a great way to start the season.

Spiders getting preseason recognition. Season can't start soon enough!

Big game against #5 Maryland today at noon. Game will be broadcasted on Big10 plus. Couldn’t find any free trial option. Link I found had a “claim offer” for one month free that supposedly expires in May, but didn’t work for me. Otherwise, it’s $12.99 for one month.

I'm not watching or listening, but even though most of the stats look fairly even, the Terps are up 6–0 late in the first half and that's what matters. Vigue has only managed one save out of their 7 SOG, while Maryland's goalie has stopped all 6 of ours.

Spiders down 7-0 at half.

Despite the score, defensive has been very solid. But you can only hold off a team like Maryland for so long. Face-offs have also been even too.

Offense has looked terrible. Even against a school of Maryland’s caliber, scoring zero in a half in a sport like lacrosse is shocking. I don’t know if it’s more 1) Maryland’s defense so good 2) early season and us lacking chemistry or 3) we just aren’t as good this year after losing a lot of great offensive production last year, but our shot selection has been very poor and other than a post in the 1st quarter, we have not looked threatening at all.

Very disappointed. I look forward to lacrosse season because of the growth of our program and we have sort of made a giant killer reputation here too. I don’t expect to win a lot of these games against the elite in the sport, but I expected way better than this.

Their goalie made a ton of saves.

O’Neil will be a marked man.We had only 1 assist on 7 goals
