blowing a two score 4th qtr lead at home is inexcusable. Having 40 less seconds than we should to try and salvage the game due to a ridiculously stupid challenge is criminal mismanagement
That timeout challenge was a big mistake. You only make that move if you are sure. The TO is worth more than the yard, when you had 2 downs to get it.
Congrats to Lehigh. They played through adversity and kept coming back. Again, wishing for a speedy recovery for their 2 players injured.
So many boneheaded plays by our staff and missed chances by our guys on the field. Like our basketball team last year, great season but extremely disappointing end. The mighty CAA lost 2 of 4 playoff games.

Would of found another way to lose so its kind of a moot point, but I don't understand how that isn't targeting on the final play when their player launches head first into our guys helmet?
Tough way to end the season. Only highlight was shutting out WM. We played a mediocre schedule. At least this saves us the embarrassment of getting crushed at the Kibbie Dome.

A comedy of errors all game really. As said for Huesman to take that challenge was simply malpractice. The drops didn’t help. Should have been easy td when down 20-16 no idea if he lost his balance or misjudged ball.
I haven’t watched Spiders this year just followed & we must have done lot of good things to win 10 in a row but little of it showed up today. I don’t know if we normally ran up the middle basically every 1st down. Lehigh deserved to win for hanging in there with the injuries the fg miscue getting down 2 scores etc.
Don’t match up with Lehigh again in playoffs. 1998 redux. I guess good news is we won’t face them again 1st rd.

Lehigh deserved it due to fact their skill players did better than ours. May be the
biggest mistake was letting QB gain 19 on 3rd and 17. Nothing good comes out of rushing three.

They deserved nothing. All on coaching staff getting outclassed. Bunch of losers.
We seem to be under prepared, again. We don’t see to be prepared for games we’re favored in.

We didn’t deserve to win today. First half: two trips inside the ten and two field goals( first one near the goaline and we jump offsides twice), numerous dropped passes. Second half: we are up 9 then we completely lose the edge on a routine outside run and give up a 65 yard TD run, 3rd and forever we only rush 3 but our de immediately rushes inside and allows their QB to break contain to his right and pick up the first down, and then we give up a long catch and run TD with poor angles. Russ’s timeout challenge was terrible as it would have left us with an extra minute at the end but we made it not matter with the muffed punt. Ironically this team did not beat themselves much and made most of the critical plays during the 10 game win streak. Hindsight but that Wofford game cost us a seed. Very very good season but not a great one as we beat ourselves today.
@Dr. Spidey you sound like someone who bet on the game and/or is frankly ridiculous. The Spiders played terrible today. No doubt. As much as everyone is fast to criticize them on here, the players and coaches feel WAY worse than we do. To think we “feel worse” is absolutely wild. Our program is dang strong and we just lost a game today.

We played well against a decent (not great) W and M team. We got by some fair teams. And we beat some bad teams. Not a challenging OOC schedule other than UVa, & we didn't play the better teams in CAA.

Definitely did a good job of beating ourselves. At least 2 big gains on long third downs by Lehigh should have been prevented, 2 back to back penalties on our first drive of the game, running play near end of first half instead of passing & settling for fg, several dropped passes, poor fourth qtr defensive execution - giving up 2 long touchdowns, etc.
Patriot League 100%; CAA 50%. LEHIGH is young and at home next year when we open up. Series tied 2 to 2. At least we won't see them in the playoffs in the future.
That was such a dumb decision in a close game - bet a TO on maybe a yard in your own half of the field. Second half timeouts are way too valuable to just give one up like that.
Actually I’ve been a fan for 30 years and have no money on this game. And I guarantee you this affects me more than Huesman who is making a lot more than me.

Lol. Not sure how it affects you more than Huesman? As a guarantee and you say “have no money on this game” is crazy… I’m sure you feel worse than the players and coaches right now… you’re the one. A total joke.
If go back to Wofford game I think we had four turnovers to cause that loss.
Good season as you said and hate it is over. Hats off to the team and especially the defense after the injuries for winning conference before moving on.
Hoping for the best when portal opens and that guys stick around. We have some high impact players returning even with the loss of a really good group of seniors. I also hope we do not lose any coaches
Here's to giving Lehigh an opening game conference loss in 2025, even if I will be pulling for their next upset victory next week
