Only 2 of our last 11 offensive plays were passes. We did run down the clock, but we could have put this game away by passingmore..I just don't understand why we don't throw the ball more. Coleman is the best passer we've had since Lauletta. Last few games it looks like all we want to do is run the clock down.
And yet we win again, and remain undefeated in the CAA, despite you finding every possible negative under the sun to post about. Can we trade coaches with Hampton? Is there a transfer portal for coaches.
25 and 3 in the CAA since our 2 and 5 start 4 years ago. I hope Huesman can keep it going despite not getting the same support as basketball and lacrosse. Good on him.And yet we win again, and remain undefeated in the CAA, despite you finding every possible negative under the sun to post about.
We had 37 run plays to 18 pass plays.- that is more than 2-1. Some of those series were entirely run plays, which they stopped. Coleman is the best QB we have had since Kyle Lauletta. Coleman has proven that he can take over a game, but he should not be running the ball.I just don't understand why we don't throw the ball more. Coleman is the best passer we've had since Lauletta. You didn't watch the game. Our coaches scouted Hampton. They saw a weakness on the left side of the line. The first play from scrimmage was off the left tackle for almost 60 yards. We scored in the first 2 minutes. But we ran the same play probably 15 times, it stopped working. I kept looking for a play action pass based on that play. It never came. Our strategy was to use ZPS to wear them done. We had a run first game plan. It barely worked. And yet we win again, and remain undefeated in the CAA, despite you finding every possible negative under the sun to post about.
Cam actually ran off right side when he fumbled. When they packed the line, we should have throwing quick slants or ran the ball outsideYou didn't watch the game. Our coaches scouted Hampton. My wife turned to me and asked why we were running the same play into a crowd of people.
It was 14-0, we were on their 20 yardline, and we ran a designed QB draw to the same spot. Coleman fumbled, they gained momentum and they scored.
My wife turned to me and asked why we were using our QB to run the same play.
On the other side, on one of Hampton's scoring plays, they threw to a receiver 3 times in a row. The first 2 didn't work, but the third time was the charm.
My wife turned to me and asked why we didn't see that coming.
You are correct. In these instances, a play action pass would have worked well.Cam actually ran off right side when he fumbled. When they packed the line, we should have throwing quick slants or ran the ball outside
Not trying to be negative here, but we played almost all CAA bottom feeders and very few if any of the best teams in the league during the past 2.5 seasons.25 and 3 in the CAA since our 2 and 5 start 4 years ago. We pay the CAA teams we are assigned, part of the reason we're moving to PL.Not trying to be negative here, but we played almost all CAA bottom feeders and very few if any of the best teams in the league during the past 2.5 seasons.
