2019 Richmond Spiders Football - Opponents Countdown - Yale

I believe the "Eli" will be the first "Ancient Eight", aka Ivy league team, to play at The Brick House...

the last Ivy to play at Richmond was Brown University in 1985...despite having a long term memory that some have called outstanding I have no recollection of this game!

obviously a rebuilding squad cannot afford to look past any opponent, but this game falls inside our murderous schedule of CAA opponents...which started the previous week at Maine...

BTW last season Yale played one CAA opponent, Maine...they won 35-14!

a win over the Bulldogs, who received FCS Top 25 votes in at least one poll would be a good win for our guys...

Both teams will have already played a common opponent-Fordham- before our 10/19 game.Plenty to review.

Yale plays at Dartmouth immediately prior to our game.The Big Green are recently very tough.

QB Rawlings(6-2,210) is a stud.He chopped up Maine in a 35-14 win in New Haven.He only played 7 games due to injury with 68% completion and 1570 yds.

Zane DuDek(5-9,190) is a cagey low to the ground runner who only played in 6 games due to injury.

Klubnik(6-3,200) had 1150 yds receiving,Shohfi(6-1,209) had 840 yds.



No redshirts in The Ivy.

Yale’s Pass Defense is suspect.Their OL is usually big not overly athletic.
