SCOUTING REPORT
SIZE:
Kyle has excellent size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 224 lbs. A tall presence in the backfield, able to survey the entire field with his height and vision. Able to get the ball up with good height, his follow through includes a fully extended release. He’s a beast while on the run, able to mow down would-be tacklers with his brute strength and size.
ACCURACY:
Kyle's throws are on target and in-line with his receivers. He nails it at the short and intermediate range with sharp passing. His deep passes can include a tighter trajectory with minimal drag. Consistency will increase his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to fire in high velocity throws into tight windows of space or he can ease up for a softer delivery. Able to generate momentum with a full extension, giving his throws longer range.
RELEASE:
Throws with an over the top delivery with a high release point, adding height to the ball. Fully extended arm motion, adding strong forward momentum.
THROW ON RUN:
Very good mobility getting to the outside of the pocket. He has a quick first step and along his long stride, can get there in a hurry. Very good vision downfield. Squares up nicely with his receivers with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
A very athletic QB with his size can result in a very deadly combination. He displays good quickness and speed while on the run, picking up chunks of yardage with his longer stride.
POISE:
Kyle's controls the pace of the game by his play. A top notch athlete who can dominate on the field. Very confident in his abilities as a Dual Threat QB, able to work as a proven pocket passer with the ability to take off at any moment.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility within the pocket. A good sense of the space around him with the ability to avoid traffic and improvise while on the run.
DECISION MAKING:
Good initial read on his first option receivers. This will be an area in which Kyle will work to improve on with more game experience at the Varsity level.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who shows the ability to adjust the velocity of his throws, adding a softer release. Will work to improve on the trajectory of his deep passes.
