19-12;11-7 in the conference according to ESPN Power Index

Davidson, St.Louis, VCU and Dayton are going to finish in top 4.
And none of them are really that good. But there will be a clear seperation between us and the Top 4 of the league this year. Even though this year's version of the Top 4, would probably Team 5-8 in a normal A-10 year. League is horrible this year.

Unless St Joe puts it together or the Bonnie’s heal (maybe 3 starters injured?).

Actually SBU getting healthy and winning the A-10 tournament may be the best chance at 2 or 3 bids...

My argument would be if this is down year for the A10 (and it looks to be) then we should do a lot better than 19-12. Should roll through the conference that is there for the taking, but we don't have the depth. Or at least as of today we don't.

maybe we are starting to see a little depth....

We have climbed to #199 in the NET.

Looking at the NET rankings is pretty sobering.

Our 4 wins have come against #349 Coppin St, #257 Wake, #175 St Francis and our big win so far against #124 IUPUI.

Losses to #283 Hampton, #218 Wyoming, #63 Georgetown (I don't believe that ranking), #103 Loyola, and #212 Longwood.

I know it's still fairly early in the year and these rankings will change some but the OOC schedule is as soft as we thought it was, and we still have ORU, High Point and South Alabama (all 200+) left to play. The ODU game (#91) will be a good test to see if this team is actually making big strides or just beating bad teams.

Road?

With all these sub-250 losses, that Mooney extension is just days away. Our most decisive win is against dead last Coppin State. That should get a Mooney statue in the circle between the arena and stadium. This seems more plausible than actually dumping Mooney. It's bizarro athletic department.
