We have some great consistent offensive performers on this team such as Terry, TJ, and ShawnDre but the real wild card is Marshall Wood. When he becomes a another reliable offensive threat we will be lethal. His height and athletic ability with an excellent shooting stroke could add a dimension to make this team special.

Agree. I had no idea what to expect from Marshall based on his stats from tech - he's been a very pleasant surprise so far. Him bombing 3s last night was a beautiful thing.

Wood's play indeed was the "sweet spot" in the game. Pretty much know what to expect from others and Allen's performance was one for the record books but Wood "catching on fire" was an unexpected boost that gave us a nice cushion enabling the withstanding of the Cal run.........

Not sure how "consistent" Cline will be against good teams because his lack of quickness and poor footwork on defense will always mean long stretches on the bench. He also has trouble getting his shot off when played by a big defender. I was surprised he had 11 points last night.

I agree on TJ. His footwork on D needs much work. He does a good job "walling up" to try and avoid fouls, but he is so often off balance etc. he still gets called or just gives up bunnies.

Cline has never had trouble against 'good teams' in the past. I don't expect him to have trouble this year either.

Rough road for Cline of late. He can score on O against good teams but he seemed frustrated as he came out of the last two games with fouls. Teams know that now and will continue to go at him. Let's hope he can make some changes and stay on the floor for us. We definitely need him.

Shout out to Shawndre for really stepping up his game and becoming more aggressive on O. Shades of KO and KA. We need him to keep on attacking and pushing the ball. He played great in both games

I notice that in many games, Cline winds up with 20-24 minutes and finishes the game with 3 fouls. That tells me that he's not playing enough. If he was finishing with 4 or 5 fouls, that would be different. I keep saying it, 30+ minutes or 5 fouls, whichever comes first. And I agree that Paul F should definitely be spelling Cline. Those few brief times that PF has played, he looked aggressive and comfortable.

Seems to me that Cline get his shot off very quickly and decisively when gets the ball down low. He also dishes the ball back out nicely from the paint. His weakness is defense and rebounding. He try's very hard, never quits and is a team leader. Looks like Wood will continue to improve and take on a bigger role. We really need Fore to improve quickly. He can jump out of the gym and will rebound, needs to develop a go to shot. He has a turnover problem though.

^^To be clear, you're ok with TJ fouling out with 10 minutes to play?

Yep. I'm tired of seeing him sit half the game, and after the game he only has 2 or 3 fouls. You can't carry them over to the next game unfortunately. At least if he fouls out we know we got everything he had to give us.
