This from a Bison posting on AGS:

"I was front row of the student section and Richmond's head coach came over and shook our hands and complimented the program as a whole. One of the classiest things I have ever seen. Great program there at Richmond."

I read that last night on AGS and was very proud of Rocco.

Next year lets win enough during the season to maybe get these guys on our turf.

that would be great DT but those guys would be a handful no matter where you play them.

Thank you Slowhand = had the same impression of your fans - loud and very effective.

I would love to get some sort of CAA vs. MVC challenge in football going. I am sure one of the many sports networks would love to pick it up. I know scheduling is done years in advance, but it would be good TV, good for both conferences, and good for FCS football. You could start on Thursday night with a couple games, have a couple Friday night, and go all Saturday afternoon and evening. Either seed each team according to last year's finish or use preseason rankings to determine who plays who. The two premier FCS leagues squaring off in a yearly dual would be awesome.

The problem is it generates losses for half the teams involved. The CAA and MVFC are so strong that if you're also going to play an FBS program you need a lot of "cupcakes" on the rest of the non-con schedule to fill out the résumé.

A CAA vs. MVFC challenge might be great for fans, but it's crappy for the ultimate goal of qualifying for the playoffs.

I also can't imagine there's much financial incentive for a network or the programs to fly easy coast teams to places like Iowa or North Dakota and vice versa. Football travel parties need a big plane and a lot of hotel rooms.
