I'm old and don't remember a Junior Day at U of R, or anywhere else as a matter of
fact. What is Junior Day?
I'm sure there are things the football staff CAN'T do without falling to the recruitment
guide lines of the NCAA. For example, who pays for what? Are coaches from other
colleges allowed to watch?
When did this start and do other programs do it too?

Sorry for my ignorance on this exercise.

Very similar to an unofficial visit, but organized with a group of select invitees and strong staff involvement. School can’t pay for any expenses.

Gives a chance for key potential recruits to meet position coaches, players, and academic support staff, see facilities, etc.

Recruits can’t do workouts or receive official offers.

my impression it is an excellent opportunity for a player to show off their skills to schools in which they have an interest

Workouts and evaluations aren’t allowed, so it’s more about selling the program to potential recruits than it is for deciding who to offer.

That’s ok. I thought he was related to Madison...
