Jacksonville is good beating us 13-11. First half in particular too many times their quick offense put our goalie in an impossible situation with close in shots. Being down 13-6 we played our hearts out to cut the score to the final margin.

Yes definitely want a rematch with Jacksonville although we would have to get by High Point first most likely.

Yes since we were fired up enough to score five straight unanswered goals from the close of the third quarter to the end of the game.............

Anyone smarter than me about lax: is there any hope of an at-large if we were to win out and lose in the final, say to Jax? We have no bad losses so far, at least.

We're #15 in the RPI, but we're very unlikely to get an at-large, especially since it would require another loss.

There are only 8 at-large spots. Ivy League has 5 of the top 9 spots in the RPI, so you can probably count on them taking 4 at-larges.

ACC doesn't even get an auto bid since they only have 5 schools, so you can probably count on them taking at 3 at-larges.

That only leaves one more, which will probably go to a Big 10 program...Rutgers and Ohio State are both looking good, and of course Maryland at #1 probably taking the auto but definitely getting an at-large if not.

Agree ....basically win the auto SoCon bid ..............or finish in the Top 10 and have a shot for at large...........but we will not finish in the Top 10.................only way we would be close to Top 10 is to win the auto bid and then it would be a moot point.

Classic letdown game after the big win over UVA unfortunately...tough going on the road at a good team after that emotional high.

Men's Lacrosse Bracketology: The Curious Cases of Denver and Jacksonville

Good article - confirmed what we already knew that SoCon will have tournament champ as auto qualifier and that is it.

Comment under Richmond was of interest -

There is no understating the significance of Duke’s meeting with Virginia on Thursday. The Cavaliers have already swept North Carolina and won their lone meeting with Notre Dame. If they win in Durham, they won’t drag another ACC team into the tournament on their coattails. …
