VCU in game thread

Just need to stop the dribble drive into the crowded lane and getting picked on the pass

Ended the half sloppy. We should be winning by more, VCU just looks bad.

Our new marketing staff needs to get their pay docked today for playing rock and roll part 2 when vcu is visiting. There's not many of their fans here's but that got them right back into the game.

Yeah feel like we missed opportunities down the stretch of the first half. Should be up double digits. We need to come out strong I have a feeling VCU is going to claw back in this so will be important to see how we respond to their inevitable run. Still I'll take up 9 at home against our arch rival. Go Spiders!

Another game where we lost a good lead, by trying to milk the clock, instead of sticking with what is working. Team ignored Allen and Cline at end of game. No way, we should be in the position of quite possibly losing this game. VCU has the advantage, because of their depth.

I admit having a lot of doubts. Both teams seemed to being, trying to lose. An unbelievable game. Given our short bench, I really have to credit our players, with having a lot of heart, and not letting the extra minutes fatigue them, visibly. Had we hit some free throws at end of game, we'd never have gone to OT, but winning this way, has to be a confidence builder.

And a sweep against the unspeakable team, downtown. A very enjoyable game, and it's great to win on ESPN. I hope lots of potential recruits, were watching this game.

We milked our prevent offense for all it was worth but finally pulled it out. somehow excuse u was putrid enough to lose it. when the other team has 4 guys above the 3 point line on defense you need to be able to take advantage.

Gosh what a game. So glad we won because we deserved it. That would have been a crushing loss but instead an instant Classic. What happened to Anthony, he must have been exhausted to miss so many free throws down the stretch. I couldn't believe it, as the game would have been over. Wow is all I can say, must have been awesome to be there in person.

Definitely a classic and amazing to be there. Crowd was electric. All our efforts to freeze our Rams fans from getting in made a huge difference. We owned RC tonight and now own the city!

Like my friend John McGinty said after the game, "There was not an ounce
of 'quit' in either team." Most poignant comment I heard all night. Bravo, Spiders!
