For all on Twitter, check out our team's live tweeting of a stuck bus somewhere in a snowdrift on the way to an airport in upstate NY, pretty funny stuff. Hope they get back tonight.

Western New York, not upstate.

If they flew in an out of Buffalo, it's a 90-minute drive in good weather to the airport from Olean/Port Allegheny. If they flew out of Olean/Bradford it's about 30-45 minutes. Both routes are mostly over 2-lane highways.

It is not easy to get to Bonas, especially this winter.

I'm from NYC, it's all upstate.

They went through Bradford. Easy to miss that turnoff...two-lane road in the middle of nowhere with a small sign in the dark and snow.

Here's a W Post article with even more of the humorous tweets from last night's after-game adventure. So much easier for all of them to laugh and get through it after a WIN. Thanks goodness for charter flights so they could still get home to teen and now subzero temps.

Ha. I'm from WNY, anything below Putnam County is New Jersey. ;->

Bob Lanier wanted to attend Canisius, right down the street from where he went to HS (Bennett). Could not gain admission so he went to St. Bonaventure. Big mistake by the Golden Griffins.

Bob Lanier was a class act and had one of the sweetest left handed shots for a man his size.
In fact a shot almost as good as Bob McCurdy. Will never forget him playing injured in the playoffs
and the heart he showed.

Thanks for the Canisius story about Lanier. One can only "imagine" that if either John Beilein or current coach Jim Baron had been the coach at the time Lanier may well have been admitted.
