This is a second quote from the same article...
"And let’s get this out of the way early as well because Virginia coach Bronco Mendenhall has to know it’s coming.
Maybe the Cavaliers should have spent more time working on what to do once they were on the field instead of so much time focusing on how they would run onto the field after each change of possession." Ouch. Apparently, Mendenhall stops work at 6PM every day and did not look at any game film on Richmond.
In contrast, UR's staff studied film about BYU last year and Mizzell, UVA's star RB. The extra work paid off.

To quote Coach Mendenhall "There were a lot of things that surprised me.” See above. Preparation is key. I was most shocked that Mendenhall did not accept any responsibility for the loss. Everything was the players fault or Mike London's fault.

Again Paul Woody:
"No luck was involved.
This game was won for simple reasons.
Richmond was the better, smarter, more dynamic team. Rocco and his coaching staff deserve credit first for building an outstanding program, then for having the team prepared and ready to take advantage of almost every opportunity."

Stonewall - Another way of saying that is - UVA wanted to continue last year's season. The UofR game was proof of it.

Our team kept referencing the NDSU game from last year. UR slapped UVA around and did not let their foot off the pedal. Talk about unfinished business.
