If I read correctly, no MEAC team has ever won an FCS playoff game. Do we want to be part of history? I don't think so, either. We need to stay focused on Morgan State, plenty of time to worry about future opponents, later. Big key, is to protect the football. I don't see us having a smidgen of risk of losing, if we don't turn over ball.

I thought a MEAC team won the first I-AA playoff?

But yes, it has been awhile...

worry about only one thing, our coaches getting conservative and we go out trying not to lose as opposed to going out and winning the game. often coaches playing against perceived lesser opponents think they can just run the ball on them, go very conservative and keep the other team in the game and poised to take it at the end. just go out and pass them to death and throw in some runs but we pass better than we run, let's pass. you only get one chance, you blow it, you go home, let's let it all hang out and not over think this deal.

There is no sense in being conservative. We should act like a playoff team that is hungry. We will need to focus on the basics, like controlling turnovers, special teams and protecting the quarterback.

NC A&T won in 1999. If the bracket I saw was accurate they were number 16 beating number 1 Tennessee State 24-10.

Nothing against the MEAC, because they can turn out some good teams from time to time, but in general they are not facing anything close to the level of competition CAA teams face week to week. My view of the MEAC will always be defined by the first year we made the playoffs with Clawson and went down to play Hampton, who I think was undefeated or 11-1 or something and I believe seeded #3 in the playoffs...and then we destroyed them by 28. It really wasn't close after halftime. The talent gap was ridiculous.

We "could" lose this game, because there are two possible outcomes, but we won't.

We play like we did against JMU or Maine and we won't beat Morgan St. or anyone else.

They are going to see the same thing we see- that we tend to lay off of the wideouts and give them a lot of room. They will also see that we have gived up a lot of yards to running backs. We are ...very vulnerable.
