Lets go to a 9 team conference. everybody plays everybody. I was just looking over the conference schedule, I think someone mentioned it before, but Stoney Brook isn't playing JMU, Elon or Nova. ridicules. I know the 'luck of the draw' line but it's bull. with a schedule that allows 8 conference games we need to be a 9 team conference, or cut out one of the OOC games and we could go to 10.

We need to keep winning and it won't matter but .....

Would you prefer that we drop the $300k plus BCS game or the cream puff like Howard in order to accomplish this?

Given the amount of At Large bids the league receives in a typical year, i just don't see it being a big deal. It can still be unbalanced with 9 games.

For the 2018 and 2019 CAA schedules, they will be a mirror image of eachother with home and home venues.Neither Albany nor StonyBrook will be playing Elon during 2018 and 2019 due to NY State travel restrictions to the state of North Carolina.

Thinking Cuomo's in nonsense in New York increases likelihood thay Danny and his Hens cycle away from us on the schedule for a few years.

Not if we shrink or let it shrink to 10 teams. I just want everybody to play everybody. Are you're ok with Stony Brook playing one (us) of the leagues top 4 teams? or (2 of 5 if you include NH) and if the NY band on travel to NY makes Albany or Stony Brook forfeit the occasional game so be it.

wait a minute Syracuse just played NC St. in Raleigh?

P5's get exception for almost everything -- it's Animal Farm, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others

Flew to Roanoke, Stayed in hotel in Danville and bussed to raleigh.
but they played in NC, so Albany and Stony Brook could do the same to play elon. Burlington is very close to Danville. PC stupidity.

I thought Albany looked at a VA hotel last year for NC game?

Syracuse is a private school. NY can’t inpose travel restrictions on them.

Probably true, but ironic. They now advertise themselves as the New York university. Having worked for a while in the New York state university system, I find this particularly offensive.

Curious to know why you feel that way?

Buffalo tried branding themselves as “New York” for a while to try to give a more obvious impression of a flagship state university, but everyone hated it so they gave up.

I haven’t seen Syracuse trying to advertise themselves as the “New York” university.

You just haven't followed the program. It's pretty apparent to everyone else.

Syracuse brands itself as 'new york's university' for sports purposes, which it basically is. The suny sytem has about 10+ schools but none unify the state moreso than Syracuse u.

Uh, yeah...very few outside of Syracuse except for alumni care about SU.

You act as if u know.....buffalo, rochester, Albany, etc...much of the population in those areas follow syr sports. Just stating facts.

So u should should know, much of the area follows syr sports more than any other ny college.
I do know. Buffalo isn't a college sports town by any stretch.

The few that do follow are mostly into the local teams. But there's not a lot to root for...UB football has never really been a factor. Little 3/Big 4 hoops garners a bit of interest, but not like it used to.

Very few in the Richmond area follow UR sports except UR alumni and probably 500 UR students. To the average Richmonder, UR is seen as that small college filled with rich snobby Yankees!

I agree, we are a small university, we are filled with a lot of North Easterners, the perception many in the community have of 'snobby' is probably accurate as well. The sad part is it didn't used to be that way. Our football team used to fill city stadium regularly, it wasn't just alumni and students we had a significant local fan base of just football fans as well.

Because he repeats the point doesn't make it any less true.

Amen Sir!
Yes, sometimes the truth can be humbling.

what do you accomplish by repeating it 10,000 times. Go win the mega millions and offer to give it all to the University if they will adhere to your wishes
