Tyler Burton declared for the NBA draft

as expected, and smart. I expect he'll be back, but never know. good luck to him.
Depending on what the NBA scouts tell him, he may not be back here depending on what he needs to work on to get to the next level.
I am pretty sure SpiderDad75 isn't speculating when he says Burton isn't transferring.
I think the scouts are going to tell him to make sure coach Mooney signs some legit transfers this offseason, so they cannot double team you too much.

I think just about everyone is assuming he will come back if not a likely 1st rounder, but you never know. It might seem like the smart thing to do if not a 1st rounder would be to come back, improve on some stuff, and maybe be a late 1st rounder next year, but he might be ready to gamble on himself if it looks like he will be a 2nd rounder this year.
love the hard work he's putting in for draft prep. if he comes back I expect a great year.
Great to see the hard workouts and it'll be a long but exciting road until June 1... a win-win for us in a sense, but of course would love to have Tyler come back for one more year to improve his stock & Richmond's outlook even more.
I want him to get drafted (eventually) but would be ecstatic if he comes back.

Want the best outcome for Tyler but admiring his play in person at the Robins Center is a great vantage point.......................
Burton invited to G-League Elite Camp May 16-17. Sounds like an opportunity to play way into the draft combine.
After working out for the Kings earlier this week, he's with the Knicks today.
So what's our prediction for when we get the Tyler news one way or another? Have to think we hear something before the Memorial Day weekend given the 6/1 deadline ..
I expected that we would have heard before the weekend started but I think he has until next Wed, 6/1

Here is a good site if interested in all the players who declared and those who have either decided to stay in or not. Also shows those who have signed with agencies, which doesn't mean anything anymore as long as they don't take money I believe.

The University of Richmond’s premier player, 6-foot-7 Tyler Burton, has nearly reached the deadline for removing his name from consideration for the NBA draft, or leaving it in the field
I hope Tyler comes back, because he's our best player. But in case he doesn't, we are still well-positioned with a lot of guys to have a good season. If he's back, we have a potential logjam of talent -- a great problem to have. If he's not back, there are 40 more minutes of PT available for the guys who earn them... also not a bad thing.

It just seems to me, that he would know by now whether he was going to be drafted.
