Towson - Good and Bad

Towson is one of the weaker foes on our schedule but we are showing some signs for improvement.

Good stuff...

-We actually ran the ball a bit today. Let's see some more of that.
-Tyler Wilkens played a great game today.
-Our front 4 generated good pressure for the second week in a row.
-I like the way our secondary is playing some some of the young pups like Springs, Jones and Williams in there. They are really pushing the experienced guys and that's a really good thing.

Bad:

-I didn't like the way our offensive game was called in the second half. We were running the ball decently well and we were well ahead. Rum the ball and burn clock.
-Kyle took a couple really big hits today. There were a couple instances where the offense didn't all happen to be on the same page. #5 is going to get killed if that happens much more.

Other random thoughts:

-Towson had some really good concessions including Greene Turtle in on end zone with beer sales. Why can't we do this again?

#14 also made a couple of mistakes with fumble on first long gainer and
then running backwards after having first down, leaving third and 4. Coach H
made reference to that in his post game.

Yep.Wilkins block was a devastating block.

He has done a very good job in the first 4 gms, so he is good to go as long it doesn't become a habit. lol.
