Thinking about how I would love to watch our game today and I need a Flo Sports subscription to do it. Honest question, what is our ROI on Spider TV?

Specifically:

What sort of ratings are we pulling on NBC Washington? Are we getting eyeballs?

Are we paying NBC Washington to televise the games?

What other incremental costs are incurred to televise the games?

Are the TV home games cannibalizing our gameday attendance? NFL will black out games that aren't sold out in the local market.

Generally, when considing all of the preceding questions, is televising home games doing more good or harm to the program? I understand the challenges to televising road games...but do we need home games on TV?

generally speaking, it’s good to have as many games on the as possible. You can get the casual fan. And given streaming options, allows player parents and other out of towners to watch. If you’re not on tv, you’re not relevant.

if we could actually put a decent product on tv maybe it would encourage fans to come.

When you’re going 3 & out most of the time and averaging a 100 yards of offense a game…no one wants to see that.

Good questions. I can only speak for myself. Normally I attend every home game, but have only been to two games this year and was almost alone in the stands. No students attended other than the team and cheerleaders. I will not be at any other games this year. After suffering through the first half of today’s game on the radio, I won’t be watching or listening either.

Couldn't get down to the Burg today. Looks like no local TV and we are stuck with Fish and Smith on the radio. Yeehaw.

Again, i would love to understand the ROI in televising home games and not getting a road game feed on a local TV channel.

Tis better that Smith fills up your radio screen than your TV screen. Particularly if you're 50 inches and beyond.

Listening to todays Drake broadcast makes me jealous because we have this buffoon as our announcers. Did a great job explaining the tempo of the game, weren't homers, and I imagine can tell the difference between SLU baseball and basketball if they're going to be a d*ck about it.
