At home
IMHO, this will be a hard fought game.
UR offense vs. Tribe defense
The tribes defense is very porous. At times the defense has seemed over matched. If Lauletta and Thompson must take advantage of a weakened defense. This is URs best matchup. Our strength against their weakness. UR has the ability to put up 40+ points.
UR defense vs. Tribe offense
Their QB, Cluly, has been erratic at times. He seems to have calmed down. They have an outstanding RB in Kendall Anderson. Our defense has suffered losses. If Special Teams give them a short field, it will hurt UR . Our defense is still very good. We could hold them under 20 points
Special Teams
Lke UR, their Special Teams effort has been lackluster. They have had injuries to both their punter and kicker. UR Special Teams have a problem with schemes, not personnel. Expect them to make 2 or 3 big plays.
Coaching
I am surprised to say this, but UR's coaches are better than W&Ms. Laycock has made questionable mistakes , maybe he has lost his edge. Except for ST coaching, this our best strength.

This feels like the Albany game. Well regarded running back with a strong season/history going, but shaky passing attack. If Albany doesn't score late to put the game into OT we hold them to 13 points. Stop him and make the QB beat us. 12 INTs to only 10 TDs,

Tribe scored 12 against a not good UNH defense and 10 against Elon. Dare Clueless to beat us - he won't.

Bring pressure on him like we did in the two games against the Indians last year. He will fold up like a cheap tent.

Forget the (-14) point spread. This game will depend upon preparation, determination, the will to win and a high level of execution and performance.

This is the Tribe's last chance to do something that will redeem their season, i.e., beat a hated rival and keep the Spiders from a seed in the playoffs. There will be little on their minds beyond beating us. They will likely play above and beyond the level they have shown all year. They beat Stony Brook the weekend before last. Stony Brook beat us 42-14. We will need major focus and determination as well as a performance beyond the level we have shown in many games this year. Otherwise, we lose.

yep, if the roles were reversed, would expect our guys to play at a higer level and do whatever it took to win, expect the indians to want this very badly. if we match their level, we will be OK, if we do not, anything can happen

When one team knows it's their last game, and the other team has playoff seeds/permutations to think about, it's always dangerous.

I do not see how any logical fan could think WM will be more emotional or ready to play than UR. We have a bye and second round home playoff game at stake as well as a chance to even up this rivalry series with a win. Jump on them early and often and this game is over quickly. Let them hang around like Delaware and we could be in trouble.

I agree. W&M came into the season as a favorite and they have greatly under performed. Their confidence is bound to be low although their emotions will be high for this, their last game and senior day. we need to get up early to completely drain their confidence and then they will likely fold.

We have a probable 1st round bye and the players have a chance to go home and be with their families for Thanksgiving if they win. I think that is incentive enough to play your hearts out and win the game.

Does the "NOVA" in your moniker stand for Villanova or Northern Virginia? Just curious since NOVA is commonly used in reference to Northern Virginia.

So.....is it being suggested to me that I'm an outsider and should not be commenting on here???

No. Not at all. I was just curious. It wouldn't matter either way.
I was just curious because I spent a fair amount of time in Northern Virginia.
Love the area except for the traffic.
