Spider Prologue - Game Eight - UAlbany

some great, or not so great coach, once said no win is easy...UAlbany looks pretty easy on paper, but I expect it will take some of the same passion, focus and execution we have seen from the Spiders all season...if we deliver it will be easy...

I've really liked this team since Hampton...thought they were getting better each week and that they could be a CAA Championship contender and FCS Playoff selection...the Spiders confirmed it at JMU...they are and have a chance for a special season...

but to make this a really great season we need to continue improving...that starts Saturday with Albany...there is still a lot of work to do...I think our guys will do it!

hope to see some old friends and enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of Homecoming...

He is right. Beating JMU only gave UR a winning season. It did not get us into the playoffs. It did not give us give us the league championship. But it helped. Just an editorial note- none of his predictors thought Richmond would defeat JMU last week.

Stonewall, you nailed it. No one thought the Spiders would defeat jmu, especially at their house. Our team will need to be focussed and play hard. I think we will. Roll Spide! OSC

Stonewall...regarding the predictors, it is true 8 of the 10 predictors did not have enough faith to call the upset for the Spiders...I was among them...I have publicly apologized to the coaches and team for my lack of confidence...

the two predictors that called the upset are still celebrating...they vaulted into first place in the season long contest!...but they have a lot of work to do too...
