Barkley seems like a decent guy and apparently his golf game has improved since that Haney effort. He was part of one of the most famous game in Spider basketball when the round mound of rebound's Auburn team lost to the spiders

As I recall after the game the reporters tried to get Barkley to talk about the upset they had just suffered and he would have no part of it, he spoke of how they got beaten by a good team. Nothing but praise for the Spiders. Won my respect that night and has never lost it.

Barkley was pretty rough around the edges during his time in Philly, like when he spit on the little girl, and his tendency to get into scuffles with opposing players and fans.

Seems like he has mellowed out and has really re-habbed his public image. My cousin has golfed with him a couple of times, and says Sir Charles is a really great guy but one of the sh!ttiest golfers ever.
