good to see the great Spider basketball fans giving the football leaning fans a little love...

don't get me wrong, I enjoy Spider basketball as much as most, but it's been too long between periods of real excitement and performance...

right now football has what we hope for in basketball: a team that competes for Championships and the Playoffs on a regular basis...

someone mentioned Spiders football fans may have bigger wallets than the basketball fans...I don't know about that, but know that I make my annual Spider Club donations in December after the football season is completed...I add a supplemental based on the number of wins and whether, or not, we make the Playoffs...Coach Rocco and crew seem to enjoy my wallet...

hopefully, 11-13 wins this year and I'm waiting until January 2017 to donate...

we have a chance....

Don't think there is much dichotomy between basketball and football fans as most posters are both. Mojo has it correct - football has been exciting to the max - what is not to like about Rocco? - and beating William and Mary twice in one year - it doesn't get any better - and sadly basketball has been almost worse than ho-hum and we all want the excitement back starting with protecting the home court........................
