High Point beat #2 Duke on Wednesday 13–9.

At the end of the day, this conference is most likely going to be a one-bid conference. So the OOC results don’t mean much for the conference as a whole, but winning those games can help individual teams improve their reputation (like us) if they win.

Please pardon my ignorance here and maybe also my loss of memory if it has been discussed in the past, but is the CAA a good conference for Division 1 lacrosse?

With teams like Towson, Delaware, Hofstra it would be considered one step up.
Another reason would be that currently, the better recruits tend to come from
Maryland, on up to Canada. The schools in the CAA are able to use this as a recruiting
factor.
Actually, the Patriot league is a very good conference and but may be one step too high
at this time. They have Navy, Army, Loyola (number 1 in the nation), Holy Cross, Bucknell and
others.
I just think, even though the SoCo plays good lacrosse, they’re like their football programs-
not CAA level.
Just my opinion.
