Looks like we need a game thread for this one. Mooney says Golden will play despite a small fracture.

Pumped up this one! What was the last regular season game that had so much riding on it? NET factor and belief UR will be the best team in the A10 by season's end. I believe the Spiders are going to get the top 4 even with a loss. Though want to see with a win how close they get to VCU and Bonny with NET.

I know some here think a win tomorrow night gets them closer to an at-large bid but I only see one and Bonny or VCU has there name on it.

We can’t let them get 12 OR or their 3 point shooters to hit 36%
A tough task for our 6 foot guards against their 6’3”+ guards

Back on track here, yes, this is another HUGE game. SLU coming off of two losses, should be in desperation mode, as should the Spiders. Bubble seems crazy this year, but it just seems we need to have this one to stay close to it.
1) Need Golden to forget about the finger, play tough and aggressive inside.
2) We need the all league type of Burton to show up. He is going to need to grab about 12 rebounds in this one.
3) Cayo needs to keep up the good play and continue to attack.
4) Sal and Grace. Not feeling like a good Matty Grace game, hoping he proves me wrong. Sal - do your job and grab 5 rebounds in this one.
5) Gilyard - This would be the time to break out of the offensive doldrums. Looking for 20 points, 4 made threes.

We need to play our A game. SLU coming off two road losses, we have won two home games. I feel like last two games our offense has been back in synch following the covid pause/ VCU game. Keep that up, AND play some tough D and rebound the ball. Need to rebound the ball in this one or will be a long night.

this is probably my biggest concern. SLU knows where they were trending before their mega pause, those guys are going to play HANGRY after losing a game to the guys down the street that they absolutely should have won. I hope we are ready for it.

Probably one of the biggest games in a number of years for us. We all know how Mooney does in big games. Hoping our guys can buck that trend tonight. I always like to prepare myself to be disappointed though.

Time for Mooney to go back to his six-guys-on-the-court bag of tricks.

We have a huge chance to really stick it to Jon Rothstein tonight and slay his wet dream team. That alone should be motivation enough.

I remind myself tonight that we are tough enough. Watching St.Louis get all these rebounds. I wonder can we learn how to box out please? St.Louis is 4.5 favorite tonight. I believe I will take it to the bank. Picked St.Louis and the spread.

someone's got to hit from outside. Blake seems the most likely, but would love to see Gilyard and Burton find it again.
23, are you a NY Lightning dad? we saw them a few times over the years.

Ooh...I just want to be able to say the Spiders slew SLU.

Anyway, Mooney says we're physical, so we should be all good tonight.

That was quite a quote. I wonder if it was just some sort of stream of conscientiousness thing for Mooney. Clearly it's the not the UR team we know.

We need to box out & prevent oodles of 2nd chance points. I remember watching St L last year living in the paint. Prevent that!

Being "fluid" and being physical are pretty much polar opposites of one another. So, will be an interesting contrast for sure. If I'm a coach though, I would always want my teams to be known for being tough and physical.

Gonna need guys like Burton, Cayo, Goose, maybe even Wilson to play really hard minutes tonight. They are our players which I would say play the game with a physicality.
