Shot distribution, chemistry, etc

We all know my concerns about defense and rebounding for next year. Many on this board have the same concern. My thought is that a grad transfer with these skills would be of great help for next year. Based on the insiders feedback - we are not pursuing such a transfer. So, we will be left to out score our opponents (I know - that is always the goal) but I am talking about basically needing to score very efficiently most games, because the other team will be doing so and also getting easy second chances. I don't feel Mooney can teach toughness and rebounding. I do feel that you need to recruit to these needs - especially in our case, but with a good coach you can get better. Mooney doesn't teach this, or is poor at teaching.

I do think we will have some pretty good offensive players. One concern is that we have some guys that are used to being volume shooters. Grant, Gilly, Sherod. Sherod in particular seems best when he is getting a lot of shots, rather than being very selective and waiting for the game to come to him. He is better being aggressive.

Looking at returners and Francis, this was shots/game last year and Francis last season:
Blake Francis – 13.2
Grant Golden – 13.3
Jacob Gilyard - 12.1
Nick Sherod – 10.0
Jake Wojcik 6.7
Nate Cayo 8.0

What do we think. Who will benefit from Francis on the court, who will lose shots? Think Grant and Cayo will benefit. Seems Woj and Gussy will be odd men out - especially the way Mooney likes to ride two good guards.

if by benefit you mean who gets more shots, I don't think anyone gets more. Francis will take a few shots from everyone, and most from Woj assuming Blake wins that starting job.
