That is good for the Dukes but 10 year contracts like all things in life have their good and bad points. At 27-1 record with JMU no wonder you want to keep him. Without reading the fine print have no way of knowing what kind of buyout or how easy to get out of it for either the school or the coach?

He will be gone WAY before 2027. He is way too good a coach to stay at jmu. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Houston. If Funete ever left Tech for some reason I'd take Houston in a heartbeat. He has a much bigger future ahead of him than jmu.

I think it's good news. It signals the fact that JMU will soon be playing Ball State on Tuesday night's and paying us $300k to travel to Turkeytown to beat their sorry asses.
