Checked the JMU board today (I make the rounds during the playoffs) bear with me a moment...
Only thing interesting was they revived a few very old threads, including one about Kevin Johnson decommitting from 1/18/2015. I didn't remember that.

Conflicting stories on that. Announcers last night said his offer was rescinded by JMU and had no offers just 3 days before signing day until Spiders came calling. Back then who knows what was going on up there with having Birdsong, Lee, Schor, etc in the QB mix. But who cares? The good news is that he's OUR GUY!

I do remember hearing on KJ' s official visit weekend a couple of years ago, he was the only recruit that came that weekend that had not verbally committed to the Spiders. But that Rocco got the verbal before he left that weekend.

according to the puke population, their coach gets a huge bonus when they go fbs. not sure where they are coming up with the $18, maybe student fees but that will keep him there.........what a joke
Pretty sure that was Tyler Wilkins (LC Bird). He had an offer from JMU that was rescinded. LC Bird stopped allowing JMU (Coach Withers) on campus after that.
Wilkins comment is accurate though not sure if jmu is still blacklisted at Bird. We have had several studs come out of Bird over the years, McBride and Grayson probably top the list.

They've been saying that about Sam Houston for the past five years. Then they get into the playoffs and win - almost all of it on the road. They are the 2nd most successful program in the playoffs since 2011 and it isn't close.
